Post Graduation Courses
Overview
A post graduation course is typically one and two years duration of course. Post graduation course can be a postgraduate diploma course, postgraduate degree course or Master’s degree course offered to the student for an advanced level of education in their chosen subject or area of interest.
A post graduation course is pursued by those students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree level course and is undertaking further study at a more advanced level. Post graduation course content of all subjects is designed to build on the knowledge obtained at undergraduate degree level with course content more practical in nature to prepare the student with the skills they will need at the workplace. Completing postgraduate studies helps students further their career prospects and deepen their understanding of their area of study.
A postgraduate diploma can be particularly useful to those looking to embark on a new direction in their career. Diploma courses usually take one or two years; they often consist of the same coursework as a Master’s degree, only lacking the research or dissertation element. Many of our Postgraduate Diploma courses, though, allow students the opportunity to progress on to a related Master’s degree, such as the PG Dip in International Business and Law.

While a conventional postgraduate degree is of 2 years programme, but in changing trends of education, Universities have started offering refined and specialised courses at the master’s level, including postgraduate certification and PG diploma courses. They offer courses that you can choose to pursue according to your preferences, how much time you have and what your future goals are like; part-time courses, full-time courses, one-year courses, research-based courses and many more.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for a postgraduate degree is:
Pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates and other similar certificates of professional bodies or societies (e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. are eligible.
Candidates with any recognised Bachelor’s degrees obtained through Distance mode/Week end courses are eligible.
Your Bachelor’s degree or Diploma should be from UGC / MHRD / AICTE approved University / College / Institution.
