Overview
Under Graduation means a student is pursuing a bachelor’s degree course with any subject of his interest from any universities and colleges whether through the regular mode by regularly going to the classes or through distance mode by taking classes on weekends only or classes attended online on scheduled dates. The undergraduation basically means that when a student after passing 12th standard or diploma go for further higher education and choose to study any bachelors course of their interest, hence pursuing bachelor course to get a graduation degree and become graduated known as undergraduation.
Undergraduate education is pursued after secondary education and prior to postgraduate education. It takes 3 or 4 years depending upon the course selected to complete an undergraduate degree course. The 3 year programs are mostly done in the fields of arts, commerce, science etc., and the 4 year programs are mostly done in the fields of technology, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, agriculture etc. However, the 5 years programs are mostly done in the field of medicine, law and architecture etc.
When a candidate will start an undergraduate degree they will start obtaining a comprehensive introduction to their chosen area of interest to study in the 1st year. Subsequently in other years, advancing their knowledge and, as per their course content, they gain practical skills that will be required in their future career.
Technology, education, and health are three of the most growing and in demand courses, getting a bachelor’s degree in these fields will help you learn the specific skills and knowledge in these areas. Bachelor’s degree is a necessity and the minimum qualification required to qualify in a wide range of opportunities in Arts, Fine arts, education, business leadership, technology, science and other fields. Undergraduate degree is the way to earn an advanced post graduate degree very well known as a master’s degree in their field. Nowadays graduation degree has become a basic requirement to get a job whether it is a fresher job or other job profile in different office’s. Even if you want to apply and prepare for some good vacancies in competitive exams the basic requirement to apply for government job positions is bachelor degree. Bachelor degree has become the basic eligibility criteria for most of the govt. and private jobs.
Many universities also offer undergraduate courses through distance mode of learning programs that you can do online from anywhere without attending classes or college. Nowadays the technology in the education sector has so much developed that students who are unable to continue their studies for any reason like, office going, can’t attend classes regularly, having medical issues can opt for admission in online degree programs offered by various Universities and institutions.
There are many graduation courses which can give actual direction to their field of interest and make them job ready. While pursuing your bachelor’s in final year they will get the chance to go for Industrial Training or internship which helps the students to attain practical knowledge and skills required for the job and helps to make them more competent.
Eligibility
Admission Eligibility Criteria: UG Course
- The candidate must have a minimum qualification 12th passed or Diploma, for under graduation courses the required percentages are different as per to the course and university you choose.
- The candidate required marks depends on the university you are taking admission in and the course like Arts, Science, Commerce, Fine arts etc. Generally minimum aggregate of 35% marks required.
- For Technical, Education, Law, Pharmacy, Health, Medical courses also required marks vary from universities the candidate is taking admission in. Generally minimum aggregate of 45% marks required.
- Candidates with low percentage looking for direct admission under Management Quota and Direct Seats Quota can also apply.
COURSE DURATION
Generally bachelor courses like BA, BSc, BCom, BBA etc are of 3 years excluding some specialized courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Agriculture etc which are of 4 to 5 years of duration. [For more Details go through the individual courses of your interest]

After completion of LLB you can start practicing as a lawyer. The law is a highly competitive and evergreen field, therefore students can also prepare for judicial services exams or join corporate legal firms as they are required in government departments as well as in private firms also. The content may be written in the form or news, social media post for business pages, video script, blog, website content, product description, brochure, advertising copy, user guides or business agreement, hence all these things are written by a content writer or proofread by an editor.
Engineer
After 4 years of B.Tech. course students do training or internship to be an engineer. Engineers specialize in their respective technical fields such as electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, electronics, computer and IT etc. Fresher engineering graduates are employed in various professional roles like planning and designing structures, production, testing, maintenance of equipment and machines, and installation of engineering goods in their respective fields of specialization.
